This critical role is responsible for the successful development and registration of all Oncology assets globally. The successful individual will be a member of the senior leadership team and intimately involved in shaping and executing the overall clinical development strategy.Direct all Oncology clinical development efforts and programs across the development portfolioCreate and implement a transformational plan for how to execute successful clinical development for Oncology programs to contribute to the Pieris strategyProvide leadership and guidance for all clinical development activities and operations in Oncology to internal / external team members to ensure efficient executionPrepare clinical portions of prescription digital therapeutics submissions, including protocols and protocol amendments, investigator brochures, drug safety update reports, clinical study reports, medical reports, efficacy and safety summaries, scientific rationales and benefit / risk ratiosEstablish effective communication and working relationships with colleagues in research and developmentEnhance Pieris' scientific reputation by driving publications and presentations by department staffDevelop and maintain key opinion leader relationships and serve as the clinical lead for advisory meetingsParticipate in the Executive Leadership Meetings to influence the strategic focus of Pieris’ development plansSustain and grow a culture of creativity and innovation leading to new opportunities for PierisEstablish effective organizational structures and staff accordinglyProvide coaching, development to employees in the development organizationProvision of Medical and scientific expertise / input to business development activities, to discovery and non-clinical development, medical communications, quality assurance, clinical operations, biostatistics, regulatory affairs and drug safetyOur RequirementsMD or MD / PhD with significant experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry in senior level clinical oncoogy rolesTrack record in clinical development and exposure to clinical operations, regulatory / medical affairs, drug discovery, and proven accomplishments and good clinical understanding and commercial awarenessExperience in planning and managing mid-sized and large-scale drug development programs in the US and on an international scaleExperience in the creation, evaluation, application and completion of clinical trials.
