Key Duties and Responsibilities Apply engineering expertise and knowledge ofdistributed simulationand cloud applicationsto provideexceptionaltechnical support to customers andchannelpartners, ensuring high-quality, timely customer service that results in improved customer satisfaction and productivity. Take ownership ofcustomer problems, proactively engage with selected accounts to provide comprehensivecloud- to alltechnical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle,interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflowsand articulate Ansys' value proposition. Provideintroductoryand intermediatetraining classesandcontribute to the deliveryof professional services for projects which mayinclude collaborative work with otherapplicationengineers in the same or different disciplines. Gather customer requirements to support the improvement of Ansyssoftware andcollaboratewith the Ansys product development teams to translatetheserequirements into new productcapabilities. Test new releaseson industrial problems. Participatesin internal corporate initiativestoshare knowledge andto createbest practices,both within and outside thediscipline. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience Required education and degree type:BS orMS orPhDinComputerScience, Engineeringorarelated field. Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineeringenvironment: BS+5, MS+3, or PhD+0. Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication in writing and speaking English. Strong organizational and time-management skills,possessesa sense of urgency. Ability towork onmultiple projectswhich are complex in natureacross geographically diverse locations. Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed. Ability to travel up to25%of time. Working experience with distributed simulation / cloud applications or software development. Expertise in building and managing containers, , Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in Python, and at least one shell language (power shell and/or bash). Experienceworking withat least one of the following cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP). Good knowledgeinWindows and Linux administration. PreferredQualifications and Skills Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+8, MS+6, or PhD+3. Demonstratedability to understand business requirements and translate theseintoanexecution planthat delivers value and meets business goals. Good understanding of Web architecture, and Web APIs such as RESTful etc. Ability to work with CI/CD pipelines. Experienceinclosed-loop simulation. Knowledge in the automotive/aerospace industry and supply-chain, particularly as related to scenario and sensor simulation. Demonstrated ability to understand product requirements and translate these into an execution plan that delivers value and meets business goals.
